4x19 - We're So Screwed, Part 1: Fetal Attraction

First off, the ep subtitle "Fetal Attraction" is a play on the movie title Fatal Attraction, starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close

J: (to Chiana) Yea, I'm supposed to be a Peace Keeper. I love waiting to see how things go south.
The phrase "go south" refers to things going bad or from bad to worse or they go pear-shaped. Based on the past, John has reason to be worried.

C: Half an arn? What can we do in half an arn?
J: Grab our guns and we kick in some doors.

J: I don't do aliens.
Vreena: I don't do Peacekeepers. (John puts a little baggie of something between his teeth) What's that?
J: This is something for a special friend.
This is all in reference to sex. To "do" someone is to have sex with them. John is also referring to a "special friend" as someone he would have sex with.

Vreena: Where did you get that?
J: Sorry. I don't kiss and tell.
To "kiss and tell" is to have sex with someone, to make out, to kiss, etc., and then go and tell others gossip about it. I have many a story I could tell about "kissing and telling" and I wasn't doing the telling. Much to your relief I'm sure, I'll save my rant for another time.

J: So this is your med bay?
Vreena: Hmmm.
J: (jumps on a bed/rack and begins shaking it) Spare bunks.
OK, so we know where John's mind is. :-)

J: (to theCharrid) Scarran hierarchy paid good crindars for me. They wouldn't want their package delivered damaged.
Delivering a package damaged is a reference to the postal service or UPS or FedEx. In other words, if they rough John up a bit, the Scarrans won't be happy.

N: By my actions, I have taken innocent lives.
R: Welcome to Moya.
I know John didn't say this, but it sounds like something he might say. And I just love Rygel in this scene.
