4X17 - A Constellation of Doubt

Jenn's note: Finally saw the ep on February 21, about three hours before the next ep airs. Here are the Crichtonisms.

Muttering about Katratzi
J: Why do I know that name?
D: No, you're not getting enough sleep and you're watching too much of this. (referring to the television)
D'Argo sounds a bit like John's mom, don't you think.

About the television broadcast from Earth
J: They hate you guys.
D: Well, I liked it there.
Ah.....this one just hurt.

Bobby: I'm here with IASA Commander John Crichton. The first and only human to boldly go where no man has gone before.
"To boldly go..." is the opening line of the original Star Trek series

Bobby: (to John) You spend three years in deepest, darkest space, battling evil aliens. What was the worst part?
J: The worst part...um...was the complete and utter lack of toilet paper.
That would have been the first thing I said too. :-) OK, toilet paper for those of you who don't know....is what we use in the bathroom to wipe, after we've done our "business."

C: (about Aeryn, and again watching the TV broadcast) They don't like her there. They don't like any of us.
J: You watch too much TV.
C: (heavy sigh) Yep.
The television news caster continues with his chatter
J: I bet this son-of-a-bitch wins an Emmy.
An Emmy is the award we give away here in the USA for excellence in television. Best Actor in a Comedy, Best Actor in a Drama, Best Writing, etc.

(to Chiana as she's putting on make-up)
Bobby: My uncle says you're a great bulwether.
A bulwether is defined in the dictionary as "a leading indicator of future trends or fads"

(about Scorpius or possibly Einstein)
J: That son-of-a-bitch deserves an Emmy.
My guess here is that John is speaking of Scorpius, because in the next scene he goes to Scorpy and says "you set me up." This leads me to hazard a guess that Scorpy new that John loved Aeryn beyond hope and would do anything for her, including bargain the wormhole tech for her recovery. I think that John thinks that Scorpius orchestrated the men being gone at "mental arts training" so that Aeryn would be captured. Obviously, Scorpy is in cahoots with Braca, so maybe he is playing both sides of the fence and is working with the Scarrans and instructed them to capture Aeryn...all with the eventual goal of getting wormhole tech from John, screwing both the PK's and the Scarrans and attempting control of the galaxy.
