Pilot insists John and D'Argo leave Moya--
J: Well, I can't go back down there. I am persona non grata on LoMo....LoMo non grata, can't do it, not goin' to, uhn uh.
Persona non grata means "an unwelcome person" in Latin.

D'Argo can't contact Chiana and Jool--
J: Go find 'em, Lassie
Lassie was a t.v. show about a heroic collie.

About Raxil--
J: I'm pretty sure that this Grommit here is involved.
Okay, this one might be stretching it, but when John calls Raxil "Grommit" I immediately thought of "Wallace and Grommit." We also had someone from Australia write in and tell us that Grommit is a derogatory slang term used to describe a stupid or annoying person.

John (To D'Argo): We are being scammed. Ren and Stimpy here are teaming up to rip us off.
Ren and Stimpy is a cartoon about "a psychotic Chihuahua and a blissfully stupid cat."

P: This doesn't make sense.
J: What doesn't make sense? She nailed him with Love Potion # 9.
"Love Potion #9" was a hit for the Coasters.

To an intoxicated D'Argo--
J: Look at the booty on that girl, Whoo!

Kabaah: This is the auction room.
J: Not bad, all it needs is a big screen t.v.

The Scorpy clone appears and D'Argo can see it--
J: That's Harvey, not Scorpy, He's a pooka.
Another reference to "Harvey" starring Jimmy Stewart. In Celtic mythology, a pooka is a fairy spirit in animal form, always very large.

Fe'Tor come out and tosses some confetti in the air--
J: Does this guy just scream Vegas or what?
Well, now that Seigfried and Roy are retiring, he's got a good chance as a headliner!

At the auction--
J: You mind cutting this heifer down so I can take a look?

Pilot is not moved by John's story and once again orders he and D'Argo off Moya for a break--
D: Well, what? He didn't believe you?
J: No
D: What was that thing about a slim duck?
J: "Slam Dunk"
D: Whatever, it doesn't matter.
