3x08 - Green Eyed Monster

J: All of the doors locked! the shower ice-cold, so I'm freezin' the boys off!
Oh, we wouldn't want that would we....

Crais: John...
J: ( shouting ) Don't call me John!
Crais: Crichton, then. Are you accusing me of theft?
(Aeryn glances upward, to converse with the Leviathan.)
A: Talyn, you've seen them both naked. Perhaps you can tell us who's bigger.
ROFL....

J: That's no moon. That's a budong!
I didn't have this one on the original webpage, but we had a site fan write in and remind us that this little line is very reminiscent of Star Wars, episode four, where Obi-Wan informs everyone "That's no moon. That's a space station!"

J: It's totally black out there! This big guppy just locked us in!

J: Yo, Jonah, we have been swallowed! That is down, and I, for one, do not want to be budong chow!
Jonah and the whale...a popular Bible story

J: Drop anchor.
A: Anchor?
J: Yes, anchor!

A: Still nothing. Pitch black.
J:( muttering ) coulda woulda shoulda brought a flashlight.
I thought this was funny....Claudia Black was the movie Pitch Black. "Coulda woulda shoulda" probably refers to Self-Inflicted Wounds, Part 1....

J: (muttering to himself about Crais) Tell me he's got pumps in the closet.
"Pumps" are high heeled shoes women wear, and even men in past episodes of Farscape, dressed in police outfits, carrying little fluffy dogs.

J: Why? To throw rice? Forget about it, I've seen my share of hardware insertion. I'm not watchin'.

J: Yes it's new, it's improved it's the Finger of Friendship, $19.95! But wait kids, there's more!
If they threw in some fancy knives I might buy the Finger of Friendship

J: Houston, we have a problem. Didn't you take the transponder?

J: Man, you guys should see this ugly sticky-flesh. Kind of like my Aunt Ruth's special jello.
John's mentioned his Aunt Ruth again...and from the gist of what he says...I don't think he liked her very much.

J: (on being stuck outside Talyn in the Budong) Hey, Stark, you ready yet? I'm stuck out here in Spamland.
We had someone write in with a great explanation about this reference and her's was so good, that I'm just going to include most of it here, with quotes:

"Most people have some vague awareness that it came from the spam skit by Monty Python's Flying Circus. In the sketch, a restaurant serves all its food with lots of spam, and the waitress repeats the word several times in describing how much spam is in the items. When she does this, a group of Vikings in the corner start a song: "Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, lovely spam! Wonderful spam!" Until told to shut up. Thus the meaning of the term at least: something that keeps repeating and repeating to great annoyance. Spam's name comes from Hormel Foods, maker of the canned "Shoulder Pork and hAM"/"SPiced hAM" luncheon meat. Conclusion - Something that repeats "ad nauseam" + Canned pork = the guts of a big, meanie, and humunguous Budong. In short words : Spamland."

A: (about the stars on John's chart) They've already got names.
J: Yeah, I know, but... Mintaka Three sounds... boring to me. Anyway, that's Hewey, Louie, and Dewey.
Hewey, Louie and Dewey are Daffy Duck's nephews. Daffy Duck is a famous cartoon. And thanks to the fan who wrote in to tell us that Mintaka Three is the name of a planet in "Who Watches the Watchers", the ST:TNG episode co-written by Ricky Manning.
