2x03 - Taking the Stone

C: Crichton... what are you breakin' now?
J: I'm not breakin' anything. I'm trying to see how our 'quote-unquote' Navigation system 'quote-unquote' works.
Geez, don't they have any faith in John? John doesn't seem to have much faith in Moya's navigation system. His "quote-unquote" line is a form of sarcasm implying that Moya's navigation system isn't really a true navigation system, more like something trying to act like a navigation system and failing miserably.

J: Chiana, you realize that nobody here has a clue! They're nothing but stoned monkeys who jump off of cliffs!
Being stoned is being under the influence of illegal drugs.

To one of the whacked out people--
J: Yo, Bob... Marley... you seen Molnon?
More dreadlocks and Bob Marley jokes

(to Molnon)
J: Are we having a failure to communicate here?
This is a Cool Hand Luke reference

After eating the magic mushroom--
J: ... Excedrin headache was worth it.
I had a headache this big....Excedrin is an over-the-counter headache medicine; John's referring to an old ad campaign of theirs.

J: Aeryn! What the hell is wrong with you? You are the pin-up girl for 'Frontal Assault'!
A pin-up is a poster of a famous celebrity or model. The most famous pin-up is probably Betty Grable during WWII. Thousands of GIs had this picture hanging up in their barracks.

J: Well, let's get her on the 'dog and bone'.
A: ( nodding ) Whatever that means, Crichton.
Dog and bone, phone.

J: Yes, and somebody has to do the bungee without the rope, except this time it's our friend jumping.
Bungee jumping is a "sport" (notice use of the quote/unquote) where the participant jumps from a great height (often a bridge or building) with only a bungee cord (a glorified rubber band) attached to their ankles or waist to keep them from splattering on the ground.
